Bill has extensive experience as a corporate executive and has assisted many organizations improve their business results with six sigma methodologies. Bill was the Director of Quality for the first company outside Japan to win the Deming Prize. He has served as a Senior Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. As head of the worldwide quality practice for a leading consulting firm, he led the team that wrote Design for Six Sigma. He is certified as an Application Expert, Black Belt and Master Black Belt.
In addition to his quality experience and credentials, Bill also has extensive P&L experience including Vice President/GM for the Compaq Small and Medium Business Division. Chief Operating Officer of Ashford.com and Vice President/GM for the Intuit Outsourced Payroll Business. He frequently provides consulting support to CEOs and executives.
Bill has helped many businesses and governmental organizations including ING, GE, AlliedSignal, Pactel, Chase Bank, the United States Air Force, the US Postal Service, Air Products, Bell Atlantic, Johnson and Johnson, Deere, Cabot Corporation, Omni Hotels, and many other companies.
Bill holds an Engineering Degree from the University of Illinois and executive management programs at both Penn State and Harvard University .
